2025 Big Ten Championship Betting Odds
The new college football season is right around the corner, and sportsbooks have already released their odds for the 2025 Big Ten Championship. After lifting the national title last season, Ohio State is entering the upcoming campaign as the favorite to win the conference.
While Ohio State’s dominance is still fresh in memory, the Big Ten remains stacked with contenders. Programs like Penn State, Oregon, and Michigan are not far behind in the race.

After capturing the national championship in the newly-expanded 12-team College Football Playoff, Ohio State is riding high. The Buckeyes are looking for their first Big Ten title since 2020, having previously won in 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. Last season, they placed fourth in the conference standings with a 7-2 record.
The Nittany Lions have emerged as a serious contender, with +265 odds placing them second behind Ohio State. Though their last conference title came in 2016, Penn State reached the championship game in 2024. Their 8-1 record tied them for second place last season.
Oregon has recently joined the Big Ten but is already turning heads with its +285 odds to win the conference title. The Ducks boast a strong recruiting class and returning talent that could pose a threat to the conference hierarchy.
After winning the Big Ten Championship three years in a row (2021–2023), Michigan took a step back last season. Led by head coach Sherrone Moore, who posted a 5-4 conference record, the Wolverines finished in a tie for fourth place. Still, they remain in the mix as a dark horse contender.
Both USC and Illinois are listed at +3000, making them underdogs in the Big Ten title race. However, early-season upsets or breakout players could quickly change the outlook.
Alongside their conference dominance, Ohio State also shares top odds with Texas for the national title, with each carrying an implied 16.7% chance. Programs like Georgia, Notre Dame, Alabama, and LSU are also drawing early betting interest.
