The 14th edition of the UEFA Women’s Euro Championship kicks off on July 2, 2025, with Iceland and Finland opening the action. Hosted across Switzerland, the month-long tournament will culminate in the grand final at St. Jakob-Park in Basel on July 27. Coverage will be available via FOX and the FOX Sports app.
Spain enters the tournament as the team to beat. After clinching the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, La Roja is heavily favored to lift the Euro 2025 trophy with odds sitting at +200, according to DraftKings Sportsbook (as of June 30). Despite never advancing past the quarterfinals in previous editions, Spain is now viewed as the strongest squad in international women’s football.
The Spanish national team has enjoyed a remarkable run, winning seven of their last eight matches — five of those coming in the UEFA Nations League. Even more impressively, they dominated opponents in their own group, defeating both Belgium and Portugal twice this year.
While Spain will miss Jenni Hermoso, the country’s all-time leading scorer, their roster remains elite, featuring 10 players from Barcelona’s treble-winning side. Spain topped their qualifying group and led League A in both goals scored (18) and points earned (15), reinforcing their favorite status.
Prediction Metrics:
The reigning champions after their 2022 triumph, England is eager to defend their title. The Lionesses also reached the 2023 World Cup final, where they fell short against Spain. With their proven tournament pedigree, England remains a strong contender.
With eight European titles, including a six-title streak from 1995 to 2013, Germany is always in the conversation. Their historic success, combined with Olympic and World Cup victories, positions them as a perennial powerhouse. Their current odds are +500.
France, another team listed at +500, narrowly missed the Euro 2022 final and were runners-up in the 2024 Nations League — both times losing to Spain. With a technically skilled squad and recent deep runs, Les Bleues are expected to challenge once again.
